Texas songwriter Karen Naomi is eagerly jumping back into the music scene after a decade-plus hiatus.

A prolific solo performer in the Dallas area during the aughts, Karen became known for her strong vocals and layered acoustic guitar looping. She led a couple of bands; first during the release of her debut album, Blind, in 2005 and then again as a one-off for a Ryan Adams tribute the following year.

Upon relocating to Austin in 2007, Karen made an appearance on HDTV’s True Music with Katie Daryl. Over the next several years, she continued performing solo and remained active in both the Dallas and Austin areas.

After a grueling case of writer’s block, Karen set aside her guitar in 2013 and switched her focus to family.

Karen Naomi anticipates releasing a new album later this year.
